What it does

Heavy-duty overdrive servo. Common upgrade during 4R75W rebuild — prevents 4th-gear slippage.

Fitment

2004-2010 Ford F-150, Expedition, Crown Victoria, E-Series van with 4R75W.

Common failure symptoms

P0732, no overdrive lockup, harsh 3-4 shift, transmission slipping in 4th

Electrical / install specs

Larger piston area than OE.
Provides higher clamping pressure on overdrive band.

Run a resistance check before condemning. Bad wiring, corroded harness pins, or a failing PCM driver can cause identical symptoms.

Replacement procedure

Drop pan
Remove valve body
OD servo accessible from inside valve body cavity
Remove retaining ring
Pull old servo
Install HD servo with new seals
Torque to spec
Refill with Mercon V (NOT LV — 4R75W spec is V)
