Electrical specs

Variable bleed solenoid.
4-7 ohms resistance.
Replace at every rebuild.

Run a resistance check before condemning the solenoid. Bad wiring, corroded harness pins, or a failing PCM driver can cause identical symptoms.

Replacement procedure

Drop pan and filter
Locate pressure control solenoid on the front of the valve body
Disconnect harness pin
Remove retaining bracket
Pull solenoid out
Lubricate O-rings with Mercon LV
Torque bracket to 89 in-lbs
