Two-stage hydraulic jack that cradles and lowers an automatic transmission out from under a car or light truck, adjustable from 35 to 69 inches.
This is a floor-style transmission jack rated at 1320 lb, sized for pulling and reinstalling automatic transmissions on cars, SUVs, and half-ton pickups. The saddle sits on a two-stage telescopic hydraulic ram, so it reaches from 35 inches collapsed up to 69 inches extended. That upper range is what lets you support a transmission while it is still bolted to the bellhousing on a vehicle up on a two-post lift, not just down on the creeper.
The ram is worked by a pre-installed foot pedal, which keeps both hands free to steady the transmission as it comes down. The saddle tilts up to 30 degrees and carries adjustment brackets and safety chains, so you can match the angle of the transmission pan and strap the case down before you break the last bellhousing bolts loose. Fine adjustment bolts let you creep the input shaft back into the clutch hub and pilot without fighting the whole load.
The frame is alloy steel on a wide four-leg base with four 360-degree swivel casters and a center support ring for pushing and positioning. The point of a dedicated trans jack over balancing the case on a floor jack and a chunk of wood is control: the tilt, the chains, and the tall lift range keep a 150 to 250 lb transmission from tipping off the saddle while you are under it.
Ships from the USA. Some assembly-free setup out of the box; grease the caster pivots on arrival for smoother rolling under load.
