Floor-mount detent shifter for GM TH350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60E, 4L80E plus Ford C4/C6 and Chrysler 727/904 automatics, with a reverse lockout and neutral-safety wiring.
The B&M 80775 Unimatic is a universal floor-mount shifter for three- and four-speed automatics. It replaces a column shift or a worn factory floor shifter with a positive detent stick that stops cleanly in every gear, so you know you are in Drive or Reverse without hunting for the gate. It is the shifter people put in street rods, restomods, and swapped trucks when they want a clean gated look that still works like a stock shifter for daily driving.
Fitment is broad because B&M includes the brackets and shift-rod hardware for the common families: GM TH350, TH400, TH250, TH200, 200-4R, 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L80E; Ford C4, C5, and C6; and Chrysler TorqueFlite A727 and A904. The stick has a spring-loaded button lockout that must be pressed to move into Reverse and Park, which keeps you from bumping it out of Drive, and the shifter is wired to work with a neutral-safety switch and reverse lights so the car still starts only in Park or Neutral.
Installation is straightforward: mount the shifter to the floor with the supplied template and hardware, connect the shift rod or cable to the transmission's manual lever, and set the detents so each position lines up with the valve body. The body is machined aluminum and the unit weighs about 6 pounds. Ships from the USA; handling in 1-2 business days.
