Both scavenger sump filters plus the pan gasket for the GM 4T80E transaxle behind the 4.6L Northstar, so you service the filters right when you drop the pan.
The 4T80E is the heavy-duty transverse automatic GM bolted behind the 4.6L Northstar V8, used in the Cadillac DeVille, Eldorado, Seville and Fleetwood, the Oldsmobile Aurora, and the Buick Riviera and Park Avenue Ultra from 1993 through 2011. Unlike most GM automatics it runs a two-piece scavenge filter system: a main sump filter and a separate scavenger filter that pulls fluid back from the side cover. Skip either one and you set yourself up for low-fluid starvation and a burnt pump, so both get replaced together at service time.
This kit gives you both scavenger filters and the pan gasket in one box, which is exactly what you want on the bench when the pan is already down. Drop the pan, pull and replace both filters, clean the magnet, lay the new gasket, and torque the pan bolts back in sequence. On these cars a filter and fluid service on schedule is the single cheapest thing you can do to keep a Northstar transaxle alive, since debris and heat are what kill them.
Fits 1993-2011 GM 4T80E applications. Refill with DEXRON-VI after the service and check level hot per the factory procedure. Verify your year and model before ordering, and inspect the side cover pan gasket surface for warpage while you have it apart.
