6L80/6L80E Transmission Valve Body GM Silverado Sierra 2009-2019

This is a replacement hydraulic valve body for the GM 6L80 and 6L80E six-speed automatic, the rear-wheel-drive transmission GM ran behind the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L V8s. It fits 2009-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, and Tahoe; GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL; Cadillac Escalade, ESV, and CTS-V; Camaro 2010-2019; and Corvette 2006-2013. The valve body is where most 6L80 driveability complaints actually live. Worn actuator feed, TCC regulator, and clutch-select bores start bleeding off line pressure, and the truck shows it as a harsh 1-2 bang, a 2-3 or 3-4 flare, slipping under throttle, a shudder in fourth, or codes like P0776 and P0871. Once the bores are worn past what a reamer and oversized valves can recover, a replacement body puts pressure back where it belongs instead of chasing it with band-aids.

On the bench it goes in during a rebuild or as a standalone repair: drop the pan and filter, unbolt the old valve body, move your check balls and separator plate over as needed, and torque the new body down in sequence. On the 6L80 the TEHCM (transmission control module and solenoid pack) and the solenoids are serviced separately, so confirm whether your job reuses those or replaces them, then prime the pump and run an adaptive pressure relearn after the fluid fill.
