Complete overhaul kit for the GM 6T70E and 6T75E six-speed automatic: friction plates, steels, seals and gaskets to rebuild 2007-2014 units.
This is a complete master rebuild kit for the GM 6T70E and 6T75E, the transverse six-speed automatic used across GMs front- and all-wheel-drive lineup. It carries the wear parts a full overhaul needs in one box: the friction clutch plates, the steel reaction plates, and the rubber and lip seals plus the pan and case gaskets. These are the parts that actually wear out, so a rebuilder is not chasing individual line items to finish the job.
It fits the Generation 1 6T70/6T75 built from roughly 2007 through 2014. That covers the Chevrolet Malibu, Impala, Equinox and Traverse, the Buick LaCrosse, Enclave and Regal, the Cadillac SRX and XTS, the GMC Acadia and Terrain, and the Saturn Outlook and Aura, along with the closely related Ford 6F50/6F55 units in the Edge, Flex, Taurus and Explorer that share the same clutch and gasket architecture. Verify your case casting and build year before ordering, because the Gen 1 (2007-2012) and later Gen 2 (2013-up) frictions are not interchangeable.
The 6T70 typically comes across the bench for burned 3-5-reverse clutches, a slipping 2-6 clutch, flared or harsh shifts as the frictions glaze, and seepage at the pan rail and case seals. With the unit apart, this kit lets you replace every clutch and seal that has worn so you restore holding capacity and stop the leaks in a single pass. Plan on a fresh filter and a verified or reconditioned valve body to go with it, and soak the new frictions in ATF before assembly.
