Full seal, friction, and steel plate kit to rebuild the GM 9T50 nine-speed in the 2017-up Malibu 2.0T, Blazer 2.5L, GMC Acadia, and Cadillac XT6.
The 9T50 is GM's transverse nine-speed automatic (Hydra-Matic 9T50), and when one starts flaring on the 2-3 or slipping under throttle, a full soft-parts and clutch overhaul is what puts it back on the road. This is the complete master kit: the overhaul reseal package, the friction plate set, and the steel plate set, so you are not chasing three separate orders to get one unit apart and back together.
It fits the 9T50 as installed in the Chevrolet Malibu 2.0T (2017 and up), Chevrolet Blazer 2.5L (2019 and up), GMC Acadia 2.5L (2020 and up), and Cadillac XT6 in both the 2.0T and 3.6L (2020 and up). These are all the front-drive nine-speed cases that share the same clutch pack layout, so the kit covers the frictions, steels, and every seal that lives in the drums, pistons, valve body, and pump. TRANSPEED reference numbers on this package are T23902A, T239080A, and T296081A.
The seals are NAK-grade: roughly 80 percent fluorine rubber (FKM) for the heat and ATF exposure, with the balance in Japanese ACM where a softer compound belongs. The oil rings are PEEK, which holds its bore fit far better than the old cast rings when the unit heats up. Frictions are an asbestos-free formula chosen for thermal stability, and the steels are precision-ground so the pack clearance comes out where the book wants it.
Use it to rebuild a high-mile 9T50 that has started slipping, to reseal a leaker after a valve body job, or to freshen a good used core before it goes back in the car. If you are not certain your unit is the 9T50 variant covered here, match the oil filter shape before you order, since GM ran more than one nine-speed casting in this era.
