Filter and pan gasket to service the A340F/A343F automatic in Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser and Lexus LX470. Replaces 35330-60030.
This is the pan-drop service kit for the Toyota A340F and A343F, the 4-speed rear-drive automatic that lived under a huge run of Toyota trucks and SUVs. It pairs the internal oil filter with the matching pan gasket so you can pull the pan, clean it, and put a fresh filter back in instead of reusing one that is loaded with clutch material and metal off the magnet.
Fitment covers Toyota Tacoma 2000-2015 (2.4L, 2.7L, 3.4L and 4.0L), 4Runner 2001-2004 and 2010, Tundra 2000-2004 4.7L, Sequoia 2001-2004 4.7L, Land Cruiser 1998-2002 4.7L, and Lexus LX470 1998-2004 4.7L. It replaces OE 35330-60030 (3533060030) and crosses to 58030, TF171 and 0440307. These use a 19-bolt pan. Confirm your valve body is an A340F or A343F before ordering, since Toyota ran several 4-speeds in this era.
On the bench: get the fluid up to operating temperature, drop the pan, and let it drain. Scrape the old gasket off the pan and case rail, wipe the pan clean and clean the magnet. Lube the filter O-ring, seat the new filter, set the new gasket dry, and run the pan bolts down evenly by hand to spec so you do not crush the gasket. Refill with Toyota Type IV (or a Type IV-spec ATF) through the fill plug and set the level hot. A filter and gasket every 30,000 to 60,000 miles is cheap insurance on a transmission that shifts hard and slips once the fluid is burnt and the filter is plugged.
