B&M 80902 Pro Gate GM 4-Speed Automatic Shifter, Rear Exit

The B&M 80902 Pro Gate is a rear-exit ratchet shifter built for GM automatic transmissions. It fits the four-speed 700R4, 4L60E, 4L80E, 4L85E and 200-4R, and works behind the older three-speed GM boxes (TH350, TH400, TH250, 200) as well, since they share the same shift pattern. The cable exits the rear of the housing, which keeps the run clean on most floor and console installs.

The shifter base is heavy 10-gauge 304 stainless steel, so it stays flat and rigid when you bang gears, and the side covers are high-impact injection-molded nylon that hold up to abuse under the console. Gear positions are set by a 304 stainless external gate plate that gives short, positive, gated throws instead of the vague action of a worn factory column shifter.

It ships with a 5-foot Super Duty race shift cable. You will pair it with a transmission-specific shifter bracket and lever kit (sold separately) to tie the cable to your trans, then drop it into a floor or console mount. Once set up it holds each gear with a firm, defined detent, which is what you want when you are manual-shifting a build at the track or on the street without overshooting a gear.
