RE5R05A JR507E Transmission Master Rebuild Kit, Nissan/Infiniti

This is a master overhaul kit for the Jatco RE5R05A five-speed rear-wheel-drive automatic, the same unit Nissan and Infiniti also reference as the JR507E and JR509E. It carries everything the case needs when you split it on the bench: the friction clutch pack, matching steel plates, the brake band, the full seal and O-ring set, the metal-clad lip seals, and the complete gasket set for the pan and valve body.

Fitment covers the common RWD applications built on this transmission from 2002 up: Nissan Frontier, Xterra and Pathfinder with the VQ40DE V6; Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56 with the VK56 V8; 350Z and Infiniti G35/M35/FX35 with the VQ35; and Suzuki Equator. Confirm your unit is the five-speed RE5R05A (not the CVT or the earlier RE4R01A) before ordering.

Use it for a full rebuild after a burnt clutch pack, harsh or slipping shifts, or a delayed engagement caused by worn frictions and hardened seals. Soak the new frictions in ATF before assembly, replace the filter and flush the cooler and lines, and set clutch clearance to spec as you stack the drums. This is an aftermarket master kit; internal hard parts, the torque converter and the filter are not included.
