68RFE Service Kit, Filters + 8qt ATF+4, Ram 6.7L Cummins

This is a complete fluid-and-filter service kit for the 68RFE automatic behind the 6.7L Cummins in 2007.5-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. In one box you get the internal pan filter (OE 5013470AC), the spin-on charge filter (OE 5179267AD), a cork-rubber pan gasket, and eight quarts of ATF+4 (OE 68218057AC). It replaces the pieces you would otherwise buy separately from the Ram counter, and it is the exact set you pull off the shelf when a 68RFE is due for a service interval.

The job is a drop-the-pan fluid and filter change. You drain the pan, pull it, swap the internal filter, spin off the old charge filter and thread on the new one, clean the sealing surfaces, set the new cork-rubber gasket, and refill. A basic drain, filter, and refill takes roughly seven to eight quarts, so the eight-quart fluid pack covers a standard pan-drop service with a little margin. Do not overtighten the pan bolts against the rubber gasket, and torque to spec so the gasket seals without distorting.

Staying ahead of 68RFE fluid service is how these transmissions survive behind a diesel that tows. Old, heat-cycled ATF+4 and a loaded filter show up as lazy or flaring shifts, higher pan temps, and eventually converter and clutch wear.
