About this product

A bench-mounted foot press that does the one job every automatic rebuild comes down to: compressing the clutch drum return springs far enough to get the snap ring out without the piston, spring, and retainer launching across the shop. You step on the pedal, the drum stays put, both hands stay free for the ring, and nothing cocks or gouges the drum.

The V2.0 setup ships with an extra-long T-bar so it reaches the deeper, larger-diameter drums that give short compressors trouble, including the 6L80, 5R110W, and 10R80 CDF drum. Legs detach for storage or to move it between benches. The steel frame is powder coated so it does not surface-rust sitting in a wet shop.

Tested fitment covers the full GM Turbo-Hydramatic line (THM125/180/200/200-4R/350/375/400/425/440-T4/700-R4), aluminum Powerglide, 4L60E/4L65E/4L70E, 4L80E/4L85E, 4L30E, 5L40E/5L50E, and 6L45/6L50/6L80/6L90, plus GM FWD drums 4T60/4T65E, 6T30/6T40/6T45/6T50/6T70/6T75 and 6F35. Ford: AOD, C6, 4R70W/4R75W, E4OD, 4R100, and 5R110W TorqShift. Chrysler/Dodge: TorqueFlite, 500/518, 46RE/48RE, 42RE, and 604 front-wheel-drive drums.
