Air-powered kit that fully drains a sealed automatic instead of gravity-draining it, so a Mercedes 722.6/722.9 or BMW 6HP/8HP fluid swap actually clears the old oil.
The CTA 7650 is an air-operated drain and refill setup for the sealed, "lifetime fill" automatics that have no dipstick and no simple way to pull the old fluid out. Instead of dropping the pan and letting gravity dribble the oil out, it uses shop air to push the fluid out of the transmission, which removes far more of the old oil than a gravity drain leaves behind.
It is built around the German rear-wheel-drive automatics: the Mercedes-Benz 722.6 (5-speed) and 722.9 (7G-Tronic 7-speed), and the ZF 6HP and 8HP families used across BMW and many other makes. These units hold a large amount of fluid split between the pan, the torque converter, and the cooler, and a plain pan drain typically leaves several liters of contaminated oil trapped in the converter and lines. Getting that old fluid out is the entire point of servicing them.
On a lift or the bench you connect the kit to shop air, hook it to the fill/drain port, and let air pressure evacuate the transmission cleanly before you refill through the fill plug and set level in the temperature window the manufacturer specifies. Because you pull more of the old fluid in one pass, you spend less new fluid chasing a full exchange and get closer to a true fluid swap in a single service.
This is the tool for shops and serious DIYers who service modern sealed automatics and want the fluid actually changed, not just topped off. Requires a shop air supply. Ships from the USA.
