Exedy KHC10 is the OEM-specification replacement clutch kit for Honda and Acura K-series six-speed manuals. Exedy is the original equipment clutch supplier for Honda, so this kit uses the same friction material and clamp-load spec the car left the factory with rather than a generic aftermarket substitute. It is the part you want when a stock-power car needs its clutch put back to new, not turned into a racing setup that chatters in traffic.

Applications this kit is cataloged for: 2002-2006 Acura RSX Type-S (K20A2/K20Z1), 2006-2011 Honda Civic Si (K20Z3), 2004-2008 Acura TSX (K24A2), and 2008-2012 Honda Accord 2.4L with the six-speed manual. Manufacturer and OEM part number on the box is KHC10. Confirm your engine code and that you have the 6-speed, not the 5-speed - the 5-speed K24 Accord uses a different disc.

The usual reason these come out: high-mileage K20/K24 clutches start slipping in 4th and 5th under throttle, or the release bearing gets noisy with the pedal down. On the bench, pull the transmission, replace the release bearing and disc together, check the flywheel friction face for hot spots and heat checking, and have it resurfaced if it is not flat - a warped or glazed flywheel will make a brand new disc judder within a week. Torque the pressure plate bolts down in a criss-cross pattern in stages, and grease the input shaft splines lightly so the disc hub slides free.

Use the supplied alignment tool to center the disc before you bolt the pressure plate down, or the input shaft will not start into the pilot bearing and you will be fighting the transmission on the jack for an hour.
