This is the full internal rebuild package for the Honda five-speed automatic transaxle used behind the 2.4L four-cylinder Accord from 2003 through 2007. It carries the transmission codes BCLA, MCLA, DCLA, and CM5 - the same unit under all four labels across those model years. The kit bundles three parts of the job into one box: the overhaul gasket and seal set, the friction plate kit, and the steel plate kit, assembled by TRANSPEED under part number T13400A (T13402A + T134080A + T134081A).

The soft parts are built to hold up in a unit that runs hot. The seals are NAK, the oil rings are PEEK industrial plastic for a tighter apply-circuit seal, and roughly 80 percent of the rubber is FKM fluorine rubber that resists heat, age, oil, and ozone, with the remaining seals in Japanese ACM rubber. The friction plates use an asbestos-free formula chosen for thermal stability, and the steel plates are precision-machined so clutch pack clearance stays in spec.

This is the kit you reach for when a high-mileage Accord five-speed starts slipping in a gear, flaring on the shift, or shuddering on torque-converter lockup - the failures that show up as the frictions glaze and the seals harden and start bleeding down line pressure. With the transaxle on the bench you replace every friction, every steel, every seal and sealing ring so the apply circuits hold pressure again. Inspect the torque converter separately; a shuddering converter is replaced, not resealed, and is not part of this kit.
