The JEGS 60389 pairs a 30,000 GVW tube-and-fin cooler core with an 11-inch, 500 CFM electric fan on one compact 11 x 14 x 3-3/4 inch unit, so you get forced-air cooling in a footprint that fits where a bare cooler barely would. It's built for trucks that tow and rigs that sit in traffic or crawl trails, where a stock in-radiator cooler and airflow alone can't keep automatic fluid out of the danger zone.
The core uses -6 AN inlet and outlet fittings and ships with two mounting brackets. The fan mounts as a pusher from the factory; to run it as a puller you reverse the fan blade and flip the wiring connection. Draw is about 5.6 amps, so wire it through a relay and a thermostatic switch that turns the fan on around 180 F. Mount the assembly in front of the A/C condenser or radiator with clear airflow and plumb it in series after the radiator's factory cooler for a return line that runs cooler under load.
Owners running it on GM 6L90E and 4L80E builds report fluid holding in the 160-210 F range while towing in high ambient heat, which is the temperature band that gets you real clutch and fluid life instead of cooked ATF and varnish. Heat is what kills an automatic; a fan-forced cooler is the difference between a transmission that survives a loaded grade in summer and one that limps home.
Note on fitment: the -6 AN ports are not the same as the push-on 3/8 barb some kits use, so plan for -6 AN hose ends or the correct adapters to your cooler lines. Fan blade and wiring must both be reversed together if you convert to a puller.
