Genuine Mopar ATF+4, the exact factory-fill fluid every Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram automatic built to the ATF+4 spec was designed to run. A full six-quart case (part 68218057AB), enough to cover a pan-drop and filter service on most 62TE, 45RFE, 545RFE, 65RFE, 66RFE and 68RFE units.
ATF+4 is not a fluid you want to guess on. Chrysler-family automatics are tuned around its exact friction characteristics, and running a generic "compatible" fluid is how you end up chasing shudder, flare and harsh shifts that were not there before. This is the real thing: genuine Mopar 68218057AB, the OEM ATF+4 that these transmissions were factory filled with. It is a fully synthetic 5W-40 fluid that holds its viscosity hot, resists oxidation over long drain intervals, and keeps the clutch packs and solenoids happy in everything from a Town and Country 62TE to a Ram 68RFE.
You get six one-quart bottles in the case, which is the right amount for a typical pan-drop, filter and gasket service where you are refilling what drained out of the pan. For a full fluid exchange that cycles the converter and cooler lines, plan on more. A few owners on these transmissions note the last quart is what finally smooths the shifts out, so having the whole case on the bench beats coming up a bottle short. One caution straight from the label: do not use ATF+4 in Crossfire or Sprinter automatic transmissions, which call for a different spec. For every other vehicle that came filled with ATF+4, this is the correct fluid. Ships from the USA.
