A 10-amp 6V/12V smart charger that holds a battery up while a car sits on the lift for days, and recovers deeply discharged batteries down to 1 volt.
The GENIUS10 is a 10-amp charger, maintainer, trickle charger and desulfator in one box, and it is the unit that stays plugged into the bench in most shops. It handles 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid batteries (flooded, AGM, gel, SLA, VRLA, deep-cycle, marine) as well as 12-volt lithium iron phosphate packs, so one charger covers everything that rolls into the bay.
The reason it matters on a transmission job: a car on the lift with the key on, the scan tool plugged in and the doors open will pull a battery down fast, and low system voltage throws false codes and makes solenoid and pressure-control readings useless. Clip the GENIUS10 on before you start a relearn or a live-data drive cycle and the voltage stays put instead of drifting while you diagnose.
It charges batteries from as low as 1 volt automatically, and Force Mode lets you manually push charge into a battery that has fallen to zero volts and will not be detected by a normal charger. Precision pulse charging detects and reverses sulfation and acid stratification on batteries that have been sitting. An integrated thermal sensor adjusts output to ambient temperature, so it will not cook a battery in a hot shop in August or undercharge it in an unheated bay in January. It monitors continuously once charged, so you can leave it connected indefinitely on a project car or a customer vehicle waiting on parts.
In the box: the 10A charger, a 72-inch AC cable, an 80-inch DC cable with battery clamps, integrated eyelet terminals for a permanent hookup, a mounting bracket and screws. Backed by a 3-year warranty.
