Ravenol SP-IV Full Synthetic ATF 1L, Hyundai/Kia 6-Speed

This is Ravenol's ATF SP-IV, a fully synthetic PAO-based fluid built to the Hyundai/Kia SP-IV specification for their 6-speed automatics. If your car left the factory with red SP-IV in it, this is the fluid it wants. It cross-references the Hyundai OE part numbers 00232-19045 and 04500-00115, so it drops in wherever the dealer bottle is called for at a lower cost per liter.

It covers the Hyundai and Kia A6LF1/A6LF2/A6LF3, A6GF1, and A6MF1/A6MF2 transaxles used from roughly 2009 onward. That is a long list of common cars: Sonata, Elantra, Santa Fe, Tucson, Azera, and Veracruz on the Hyundai side, and Optima, Sorento, Sportage, Forte, and Sedona on the Kia side, across the 2.0L and 2.4L fours and the 3.3L/3.5L/3.8L V6s.

SP-IV is a friction-specific fluid, not a universal ATF. These 6-speed units are known for a shudder or a jerky 2-3 shift when someone tops them off with a generic multi-vehicle fluid. On the bench and in the driveway the common fix is a drain-and-fill back to the correct SP-IV, which restores the clutch apply feel and quiets the shudder. This is where getting the right fluid actually matters.

Sold as a single 1-liter (33.8 fl oz) bottle. A drain-and-fill on most of these transaxles takes roughly 3.5 to 4 liters, so order enough bottles to cover the job, and repeat drain-and-fills over a couple of services if you are trying to move a transmission off contaminated fluid.
