Complete bonded apply-piston set for the GM 10L80/10L90 and Ford 10R80 10-speed automatic, 2017-up, for a full rebuild or a slipping clutch-pack refresh.
This is the complete bonded apply-piston set for the GM 10L80 and 10L90 and the Ford 10R80 ten-speed rear-wheel-drive automatic, 2017 and up. It is Remco part number K33900P-99 (made by Precision International) and replaces the rubber-bonded clutch and band apply pistons you pull out during a full overhaul. Fits the 10-speed behind the 5.3L/6.2L GM and 2.3L/3.5L/5.0L Ford applications: Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Escalade, Camaro, CT6, F-150, Raptor, Mustang, Expedition and Navigator.
The bonded rubber on these pistons is a wear item. When a lip hardens, cracks or delaminates, apply pressure bleeds past the piston and that clutch pack slips - you feel it as a flare, a harsh or slipping shift on one of the ten gears, and it usually stores a pressure or ratio-error code. Because this unit runs a lot of clutches in a tight stack, replacing all the bonded pistons as a set at rebuild time is what gives you consistent apply and keeps the job from coming back. Reusing hardened original pistons is the most common reason a freshly rebuilt 10-speed slips again.
Install these on the bench during reassembly. Match each piston to its clutch drum by size, lube the new lip seals with assembly gel, and seat each piston squarely into its bore without rolling the lip. Set clutch clearance with the correct selective plates as you stack each pack, then air-check every drum before the case halves go together. Ships from the USA; handling in 1-2 business days.
