6R80 6R75 6R60 6R100 Valve Body Upgrade Kit STL-6R80

The STL-6R80 is a valve body upgrade kit from Superior's TransLab Engineered line that rebuilds the pressure and flow circuits inside the Ford 6R60, 6R75, 6R80 and 6R100 transmissions. It also fits the ZF 6HP19, 6HP26 and 6HP32 Gen.1 valve bodies that share the same hydraulic layout. These units wear at the same handful of valve bores, and once the aluminum opens up the clearances, line pressure bleeds off and shift quality falls apart. This kit re-establishes those circuits.

In the box you get a STEADY-STREAM pressure regulator valve and balance sleeve, a steel forward-clutch boost valve and sleeve that replace the factory plastic pieces, and a solenoid regulator valve. Together they hold line and lube pressure where it belongs and stop the internal leaks behind the common complaints on these transmissions: harsh or erratic shifts, torque converter clutch (TCC) shudder and chatter, slipping, overheating, and the intermittent ghost codes that come and go with fluid temperature.

It installs during a valve body rebuild or a full overhaul. Ream and fit the new valves and sleeves into their bores, drop in the STEADY-STREAM regulator and the steel boost valve in place of the worn plastic one, and reassemble. If your end plugs are leaking as well, order Superior's K095 end plug kit to seal those bores; end plugs are not included in this kit. Fits all model years of the 6R60/6R75/6R80/6R100.
