TH350 TH250C Master Rebuild Kit with Frictions & Steels

This is a master overhaul kit for the GM Turbo-Hydramatic TH350, TH350C, TH250 and TH250C three-speed automatics, the transmissions behind small- and big-block Chevy, Buick, Olds and Pontiac RWD cars and trucks from 1968 up. It carries the friction clutch plates and steel discs for the forward, direct and intermediate clutch packs plus the full soft-parts set (pan gasket, front and rear seals, clutch piston lip seals, sealing rings, O-rings and the paper and rubber for the pump and valve body), so you can strip a core to the case and put it back together in one pass instead of chasing individual seals.

Use it when a TH350 is slipping in a gear, dropping delayed or flared shifts, or leaking at the pump and tailshaft after high mileage. On the bench you tear the unit down, clean and inspect the drums and hard parts, then reassemble with new frictions and steels in each pack, fresh lip seals on the clutch and servo pistons, new sealing rings on the input and output, and the new gaskets between the pump, case and valve body. Soak the friction plates in ATF before assembly and set the clutch clearances as you stack each pack.

The TH350C adds the lockup torque-converter clutch used from 1979 to 1986; this kit covers both the non-lockup TH350/TH250 and the lockup 'C' versions.
