Transgo VBT-NT calibration kit that corrects the common 6R80 valve body wear behind harsh, delayed, or slipping shifts. No-tool, no-reaming design drops straight into the stock valve body.
The Ford 6R80 six-speed lives under a huge fleet of trucks and cars - 2009-up F-150, Expedition, Navigator, Explorer, Mustang GT, and the Transit van - and once the miles pile up the valve body is where the trouble starts. Worn bores and tired springs let line pressure bleed off, and that shows up as a harsh 1-2 bang, a flare or slip on the 2-3, delayed engagement into drive or reverse, or torque converter clutch shudder. This Transgo VBT-NT kit is built to walk those problems back without a rebuild.
Transgo calls this the No-Tool version for a reason: unlike a lot of valve body correction kits, it does not require reaming the aluminum bores. The recalibrated valves, springs, and hardware are sized to drop into the factory 6R80 valve body as-is, which keeps the job on a home bench instead of a machine shop. It resets pressure regulation and shift feel so the transmission grabs cleanly again and holds the converter locked.
This is a correction and calibration kit, not a full overhaul - it does not include the reaming tool (none is needed) and it is meant to be installed by someone comfortable inside a valve body. Pair it with fresh Mercon LV and a filter and you have a real fix for a tired 6R80 at a fraction of the cost of a remanufactured unit. Ships from the USA.
