66RFE/68RFE TransTec Overhaul Kit w/ Duraprene Gasket

This is the TransTec overhaul kit (part 81000518, also cataloged as DP2544) for the Chrysler 66RFE and 68RFE six-speed automatics. The 68RFE lives behind the 6.7L Cummins in the Dodge and Ram 2500 and 3500, and the 66RFE runs behind the Hemi in Ram 1500 and 2500 trucks. It covers 2007-2010 Ram 2500 and 3500, 2011-2019 Ram 2500, and 2012 Ram 1500 applications. This is the kit you open when you drop the pan, split the case, or do a full reseal to chase a leak or freshen the unit.

TransTec is the Freudenberg-NOK aftermarket line, the same seal maker that supplies much of the OE rubber, so the metal-clad seals, lip seals and O-rings match factory dimensions instead of fighting you on the bench. The kit includes the full gasket and seal set: metal seals, O-rings, the lip seal set, the Teflon sealing ring kit, and the Duraprene molded pan gasket. Duraprene is a reusable rubber-and-carrier gasket that seals the pan flat without RTV and holds a proper torque without crushing out.

Use it as your reseal on a teardown: fresh O-rings on the solenoid pack and valve body, new lip seals on the drums and servos, new sealing rings on the shafts and pump, and the Duraprene gasket on the pan.
