Bearings, seals and gaskets to rebuild the NSG370 six-speed manual behind 2005-2014 Jeep Wrangler, Liberty, Grand Cherokee and Commander.
USA Standard Gear ZMBK478 bearing kit for the NSG370 six-speed manual transmission. The NSG370 is the Mercedes-designed box Chrysler put behind the 3.8L and 3.6L in the Jeep Wrangler TJ and JK, and behind the V6 in the Liberty, Commander, Grand Cherokee and Dodge Nitro from 2005 through 2014. This kit covers the bearing and sealing side of a teardown: the main case and shaft bearings, input and output shaft seals, and the gaskets you destroy pulling the case apart.
Use it when the transmission whines under load in a specific gear, growls in neutral with the clutch out, or leaks at the input shaft after a clutch job. Those are bearing and seal failures, not gear failures, and they are the reason most NSG370s come out of the truck. Pull the tailhousing and front bearing retainer, press the old bearings off the cluster and shafts, and set the new ones with a bearing driver rather than hammering on the races.
This is the bearing kit only. It does not include synchronizer rings, so inspect the blocker ring clearance while the box is on the bench: if 3rd or 4th still balks on a warm shift, you need synchros too and this kit alone will not fix it. Part number ZMBK478, ISO 9001 alloy steel bearings, two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
