Runs a full transmission fluid exchange through the cooler lines in about 15 minutes, pushing new ATF in as it draws the old fluid out at 0-60 PSI.
This is a rolling cooler-line fluid exchanger for automatic transmissions. It runs off 12V DC and uses the transmission's own pump to circulate fluid: you splice it into the cooler line, the machine feeds fresh ATF into one side while the returning line pushes the old, dark fluid into the used tank. Because it works off the running transmission, you get a near-complete exchange instead of the partial drop you get from a pan drain and refill.
Setup is straightforward. Disconnect the transmission cooler line at the radiator or cooler, connect the machine inline with the supplied adapters (or slip the hoses over the metal lines and clamp them if you don't have a matching fitting), fill the fresh tank, start the engine, and let it idle. The 0-60 PSI gauge and the flow indicator let you watch the exchange and keep the in and out volumes balanced so you are not over- or under-filling the transmission. A typical car takes roughly 15 minutes in the bay.
It is sized for small and mid-size gasoline cars and light diesel pickups and vans - the same jobs where a shop wants a real fluid exchange but doesn't want to spend on a ,500 automated unit. The two tanks are separated so new and used fluid never mix, and the fill spout sits on top for easy topping off. Ships as one assembled machine; you bolt on the casters and connect your cooler-line adapter.
Note that this exchanges fluid through the cooler circuit - it does not drop the pan, so plan to change the filter separately on transmissions that have a serviceable pan filter. Fluid and vehicle-specific cooler-line fittings are not included.
