ZF 8HP55 0BK Transmission Filter and Oil Pan Gasket Kit, Audi

Filter and aluminum pan gasket kit for the ZF 8HP55 (0BK) eight-speed automatic used across the longitudinal Audi range. The service filter is OEM number 0BK398009, and the kit includes the matching aluminum oil pan gasket so you can drop the pan, swap the filter, and reseal in one job.

On the bench: drop the pan and let the fluid drain, pull the old filter straight down off the pump pickup, seat the new 0BK398009 filter until the neck O-ring is fully home, lay the new aluminum gasket on a clean sealing surface, and torque the pan bolts in a cross pattern. Refill and level the 8HP the standard way through the fill plug at temperature.

A clogged or collapsing 8HP filter shows up as delayed engagement, flare on the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts, and slipping once the fluid is hot. A fresh filter and a clean pan seal restore full line pressure and stop the seep at the pan rail that these transmissions are known for.
