8F24 Transmission Valve Body with Wiring Harness

This is a complete valve body assembly for the Ford 8F24 eight-speed automatic, supplied with the internal wiring harness and solenoids already fitted. It covers the 1.5L EcoBoost applications from 2019 through 2025, which is the transverse eight-speed used in the smaller Ford and Lincoln crossovers. Buying the assembly complete is the difference between a two-hour job and a week of chasing individual solenoids that may or may not fix the complaint.

The failures that send a 8F24 valve body to the bench are usually electrical or bore wear rather than anything you can see. Common complaints are a flare or slip on the 3-4 and 5-6 shifts, a harsh downshift coming to a stop, a bang into gear from park, or a stored solenoid performance code that comes right back after a fluid service. Once a solenoid circuit is out of range or a bore is worn oval enough to bleed pressure, the fix is the valve body - fresh fluid and a relearn will not restore line pressure that is leaking past a worn bore.

Installation is from underneath with the pan down. Drop the pan and filter, unplug the case connector, unbolt the valve body in the reverse of the tightening sequence and support it as it comes free so the harness does not hang on its pins. Transfer nothing from the old unit - this assembly ships with its own solenoids and harness. Set the new body flat against the case, start every bolt by hand before torquing, and follow the factory sequence so you do not distort the casting. Refill with the correct Ford spec fluid, set the level by transmission temperature, then clear codes and let the adaptive learn run - the first several miles will shift firmer than normal until the strategy relearns.
