Mercedes 9G-Tronic ATF Fill Adapter Tool Kit, 4-Piece

The Mercedes 725.0 nine-speed automatic (the 9G-Tronic) is a sealed, fill-for-life box with no dipstick, so a fluid service is done from underneath through the drain standpipe and a fill port on the pan. This four-piece kit gives you the exact adapters that job needs: an 8mm oil pan spanner, the fluid drain (level standpipe) tool, an M12 x 1.5 ATF fill adapter, and the special 9G-Tronic fill adapter. It replaces the fragile plastic dealer tools and the O-rings seal against the fill machine without weeping.

On the bench the sequence is simple: pull the fill plug, back out the drain standpipe with the drain tool to let the old ATF run down to the standpipe level, reinstall it, then thread the fill adapter into the pan and pump new fluid in until it runs back out at operating temperature. The M12 x 1.5 adapter also covers the older Mercedes 722.9 seven-speed, so one kit handles both boxes.

Fitment covers the 725.0 transmission in the newer C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, GLC, GLE and GLS, and the same transmission as used by Nissan and Infiniti in longitudinal RWD/4WD models: the Nissan Z (RZ34), Frontier (D41), Titan, and Infiniti QX80. The adapters are zinc alloy with aluminum bodies, so the threads hold up to repeated services far better than the plastic factory pieces techs are always snapping. One note from the shop floor: the tools are metal but the transmission pan is plastic, so seat the fill adapter hand-tight and do not lean on it, or you will crack the pan.
