Full-system bidirectional scanner with FCA AutoAuth built in, so you can reach the transmission module on 2018-up Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and Ram without a bypass cable.
The reason most scan tools fail on a late-model Ram or Grand Cherokee is the security gateway. From 2018 on, FCA locked module access behind AutoAuth, and a generic reader either sees nothing past the engine or needs a 12+8 bypass cable spliced in at the gateway. This tool has AutoAuth support built in: plug into the OBD2 port, register once, and the transmission, ABS, airbag and body modules answer directly. You supply your own AutoAuth subscription.
Coverage runs across Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram from 1998 to 2024 with over 30 modules on manufacturer-specific protocols, not just generic OBD2. For transmission work that means real TCM access on a 68RFE, 845RE or 8HP box - codes, live data, and the transmission optimization and relearn routines that a valve body or solenoid pack replacement leaves you needing. Live data displays as text or as up to four graphed channels at once, which is what you want when comparing commanded gear against actual gear on a road test.
Eighteen service functions are on a quick-access menu, including EPB reset, SAS and BMS calibration, throttle matching for the rough-idle complaint that follows a throttle body clean, injector coding, headlight adjustment and suspension calibration for Wranglers after a lift kit. Bidirectional control lets you command a component and confirm it responds, so you can prove out a solenoid or a starter circuit before pulling anything apart.
Updates are free for the life of the tool with no subscription, and a 1.6 ft OBD2 extension cable is included for awkward port locations.
