Mazda 3 Clutch Kit 10-066 for 2.0L and 2.3L Manual

This is a complete replacement clutch kit for the manual-transmission Mazda 3 with the 2.0L or naturally aspirated 2.3L four cylinder, and the 2006-2010 Mazda 5 2.3L. It cross-references to 10-066, 10-059, MZK1003, MU721941, 52253613 and K7039701. It does not fit the Mazdaspeed3 turbo car.

The kit includes the pressure plate, a 8.86 inch clutch disc with 22 splines and 4 damper springs, the release (throwout) bearing, the pilot bearing, a plastic alignment tool, and a grease packet. The pressure plate measures 10.87 inches across.

Listed fitment: 2004-2006 Mazda 3 2.3L, 2004-2011 Mazda 3 2.0L, 2007-2009 Mazda 3 2.3L (naturally aspirated), 2012-2013 Mazda 3 2.0L, and 2006-2010 Mazda 5 2.3L. For 2012-2013 cars the listing is limited to VIN engine codes F and G, so check the eighth VIN digit before you order.

Replace the clutch when it slips under load in higher gears, when the engagement point has moved to the top of the pedal travel, or when you get chatter pulling away. A chirp or growl that goes away when you press the pedal is usually the release bearing. With the transmission out, have the flywheel resurfaced or replaced, grease the input shaft splines lightly, center the disc with the alignment tool, and tighten the pressure plate bolts in a star pattern to spec.
