Toyota U250E Transmission Solenoid Kit, 7-Piece

This is a full 7-piece solenoid set for the Toyota/Lexus U250E (5-speed FWD) and U151E (5-speed, V6 applications) automatics. The set covers the four shift solenoids plus the TCC lock-up solenoid, the lock-up pressure control solenoid and the line pressure control solenoid, so every solenoid on the valve body gets replaced in one job instead of chasing them one at a time.

Listed fitment: 2003-2009 Camry 2.4L, 2003-2006 Camry 3.0L, 2005-2006 Camry 3.3L, 2006-2007 Avalon 3.5L, 2004-2006 Lexus ES330 and RX330 3.3L, and 2007-2008 RX350 3.5L. Pull your transmission code off the tag or the build sheet and confirm it reads U250E or U151E before ordering; the U140/U240 4-speeds and the U760E 6-speed use different solenoids.

The common complaints that point here are harsh or late 2-3 and 3-4 shifts, flare on upshift, a lock-up shudder at cruise, and solenoid-circuit codes in the P0750-P0770 range or line pressure codes like P0748 and P2716. A worn line pressure solenoid on these units lets the clutches slip under load, which cooks the fluid and the frictions if it is ignored.

On the car: drain the pan, remove the pan and filter, unplug the solenoid connectors and unbolt each solenoid from the valve body. Note which solenoid goes in which bore before you pull them. Install the new solenoids with the new O-rings lightly lubed with ATF, torque the bolts evenly, reconnect, and refill with Toyota WS fluid. Clear codes and run an ECU relearn/reset so the transmission adapts to the new parts. These are remanufactured units, inspected and calibrated, and may show light surface marks from use.
