It includes the shifter bushings, return springs, retainers, pins, gaskets and linkage adjustment hardware, so every plastic and rubber wear point in the tower gets replaced at once.

On these cars the factory bushings dry out and crack, which shows up as a shifter that wanders in its gate, a notchy or vague feel finding gears, and a lever that rattles at idle. Pull the shift boot and console, disconnect the selector and shift cables at the tower, and unbolt the tower. Replace the pivot bushings, springs and clips on the bench, reinstall the tower, reconnect the cables with new clips, and set the linkage adjustment so the lever sits centered in the 3rd-4th plane in neutral.
