The 44RE Valve Body 1997-1999 - Sonnax Updated, Dyno-Tested is a direct-fit replacement valve body for the 44RE, covering 1997-1999 applications.

On the 44RE, the valve body directs line and governor pressure to the clutch packs and bands and works with the electronic governor pressure solenoid and sensor to time every shift. Years of pressure cycling wear the aluminum valve bores, and that is what causes the classic 44RE complaints: shuttle shifting, harsh or soft 2-3 shifts, no reverse, delayed engagement, and governor-pressure related codes.
