450 lb Scissor Lift Transmission Jack with Brake Casters

This is a floor-style scissor transmission jack rated for 450 lb. It sits low enough to roll under a car or light truck on jack stands or a two-post lift, then the scissor arms raise a flat steel saddle up to meet the transmission pan. The lift is screw-driven through a hex drive socket on the base, so you run it up and down with a ratchet or impact on low speed instead of pumping a handle, and the load stays where you stop it.

The saddle has a ratchet strap that goes over the case so the gearbox cannot roll off when you pull it back off the dowels or tip it to clear the crossmember. That is the part of a transmission R&R where people get hurt: the unit comes off the bellhousing pins and the weight shifts all at once. Strap it first, then drop it.

All four casters swivel 360 degrees and each one has a foot brake, so you can lock the jack in place while you line up the input shaft with the pilot bearing or torque converter on the way back in.
