Complete master overhaul kit for the Ford 6F35 six-speed with clutch frictions, steels, gaskets and seals to rebuild Escape, Fusion and Edge units.
This is a complete master rebuild kit for the Ford 6F35 six-speed transaxle, the front-wheel-drive automatic Ford ran in the Escape, Fusion, Edge, Explorer, Taurus and the Lincoln MKC and MKZ. The kit bundles the friction clutch plates, steel plates, the full overhaul gasket and seal set, sealing rings and rubber lip seals so you can tear the unit down and put it back together without chasing individual part numbers.
It covers a wide spread of applications: 2009-2017 Escape (1.5, 1.6, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0L), 2010-2017 Fusion, 2012-2016 Edge 2.0L, 2012-2015 Explorer 2.0L, 2013-2014 Taurus 2.0L, 2015-2017 Lincoln MKC, 2013-2014 MKZ, plus the rebadged Mazda Tribute and Mercury Mariner and Milan. The 6F35 was built in a Gen1 and a Gen2 version with different clutch and steel counts, so match the friction and steel stack to what comes out of your unit before assembly.
The 6F35 is known for burning the low/reverse and 2-6 clutches and for solenoid-related harsh shifts, which is usually what puts one of these on the bench. When you rebuild, replace every friction and steel as a set along with the gaskets and seals instead of reusing worn material. Soak the new frictions in ATF before install and set your clutch clearances to spec as you stack each pack.
