AISIN CKT-050 Clutch Kit for Toyota Tacoma 2.4L

The AISIN CKT-050 is a complete OE-matched clutch kit for the 2.4L four-cylinder Toyota Tacoma, 1995 through 2004, and the 2.4L Toyota Previa from 1991 to 1993. AISIN is the factory clutch supplier for Toyota, so this kit clamps, grips, and feels at the pedal the way the truck did when it was new instead of the vague engagement you get from cheap replacements.

Everything the job needs is in the box: a new clutch cover (pressure plate), a friction disc with heat-resistant facings, a release (throwout) bearing, the pilot bearing or bushing where the application uses one, and a vehicle-specific alignment tool so the disc centers on the flywheel the first time. The components are matched and balanced as a set.

Replace the whole kit when the Tacoma starts slipping under load, chatters on takeoff, drags so the gears grind going into first or second, or the pedal gets noisy and grabby from a worn throwout bearing. Putting a new disc against an old pressure plate or reusing a tired bearing is what causes comebacks. Resurface or replace the flywheel while the transmission is out, and torque the cover bolts down evenly in a cross pattern.
