Deutsch and Weather Pack Terminal Crimper Kit, 8-Piece

An eight-piece crimping set for the two connector families that actually show up on transmission wiring: Delphi Weather Pack / Metri-Pack terminals on GM case connectors and external solenoid harnesses, and Deutsch DT / DTM / DTP connectors on Allison and heavy-duty truck harnesses. Three ratcheting crimpers plus four terminal extraction tools in a molded case.

The IWD-16 and IWD-20 crimpers handle Deutsch size 16 and size 20 solid (closed barrel) contacts and produce a four-way indent, eight-impression crimp - the same crimp form the factory tooling makes, which is what keeps a Deutsch pin from backing out under vibration. The IWC-1424B handles Metri-Pack 150 and Metri-Pack 280 terminals and open barrel terminals from 24 to 12 AWG, so it covers the 20-way case connector pigtail on a GM 4L60E, 4L80E and 6L80 as well as generic Weather Pack sealed connectors.

The four extraction tools release Weather Pack and Metri-Pack locking tangs and Deutsch DT and DTM wedge locks so you can depin a connector body instead of cutting the harness and splicing. That matters on a case connector: if a solenoid circuit reads open and you trace it to a green, spread terminal in the connector body, you pull that one pin, crimp a new terminal on clean wire, and push it back in with the original seal intact.

Use it when a shift solenoid code follows the harness rather than the solenoid, when a rodent-chewed transmission harness needs new pins, or when you are building a pigtail for a swap. Wire, terminals and connector bodies are not included - this is the tooling.
