Ford 6F35 Transmission Valve Body with Solenoids

This is a complete 6F35 valve body assembly with the shift solenoids and pressure control solenoids already installed, sold as one unit so you are not transferring solenoids off a core. It carries Ford part reference CV6Z-7G391-A and covers the 6F35 six-speed used in the Ford Transit Connect 2015-2021, Fusion 2015-2020, Escape 2015-2018, Explorer 2015-2018, Edge 2015-2018, Taurus 2015-2017, Special Service Police Sedan 2014-2018, and the Lincoln MKZ 2015-2020 and MKC 2015-2019. It fits the 6F35 only, not the 6F50 or 6F55.

The 6F35 valve body is what fails first on these cars. Worn solenoid bores and a scored separator plate show up as a hard 1-2 shift, a flare between 2 and 3, a shudder that will not clear with a fluid change, no 4th or 5th gear, or a limp-in with P0776, P0715, P0796, P0729 or P0741 stored. Replacing the whole body with fresh solenoids fixes the root cause instead of chasing one solenoid at a time and coming back a month later.

On the bench the job is straightforward: drop the pan, pull the filter, unplug the internal harness at the solenoid body, and back out the valve body bolts. Note the manual valve pin engagement with the detent lever before you drop the old unit, seat the new one on the case dowels, and torque the bolts down in a cross pattern rather than around the edge. Reconnect the harness, new filter and pan gasket, then refill through the fill plug and set the level at the specified fluid temperature with a scan tool. Adaptive shift tables should be reset after the swap so the TCM relearns against the new solenoids. Weighs 8.9 lb, ships assembled, no core charge and no core return.
