Liqui Moly Top Tec ATF 1950 ZF 8HP/9HP Fluid 1 Liter

This is the low-viscosity, fully synthetic fluid that goes in the ZF 8-speed (8HP) and 9-speed (9HP) automatics. Those units left the factory with a thin, tightly-specified fluid, and Top Tec ATF 1950 is formulated to match that spec so the valve body, torque converter lockup, and adaptive shift logic behave the way they were tuned to. Wrong-viscosity fluid in an 8HP is one of the fastest ways to get flare, harsh 2-1 downshifts, and shudder complaints, so the fluid grade here is not optional.

Application coverage is broad because the ZF 8HP is used almost everywhere: BMW (nearly the whole lineup), Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger/Challenger, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, Ram 1500, Land Rover and Range Rover, Audi, and Maserati, among others. If your vehicle runs a ZF 8HP or 9HP and the manufacturer calls for the green or blue lifetime ATF, this is the aftermarket fluid built to that requirement.

Use it for a drain-and-fill or a full service. The 8HP holds several liters, and a pan-drop with a new filter and gasket followed by a fill and a level-set at the correct fluid temperature is the right procedure -- the ZF units are temperature-sensitive to check, so set the level warm, not cold.
