If you are servicing a ZF 8-speed automatic, the pan and filter come as one integrated assembly, and this kit gives you everything needed to do the job right in a single box. It fits the whole 8HP family, including the 8HP45, 8HP50, 8HP51, 8HP70, 8HP75 and 8HP76 units found in a huge range of BMW, RAM, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and Audi vehicles.
The pan replaces the older 1087298247 / 0501.220.614 design and is backward compatible with the newer 0501.226.590 and 0501.226.591 part numbers, so it drops right in on either generation. Because the filter is built into the pan, you get a fresh filter with every pan swap rather than fighting a separate press-in element.
Included in the kit: one transmission oil pan with integrated filter, one seal gasket, one drain plug, and thirteen mounting screws. That is the full set of parts a proper fluid and filter service needs, so there is no chasing down a gasket or a missing bolt halfway through the job. Torque the bolts to spec, fit the drain plug, and refill with the correct ZF-approved fluid to finish.
