An automatic transmission that has never been serviced builds up varnish and clutch debris that a plain drain-and-fill will not touch. This Lubegard Platinum pack is a two-bottle system built to fix that. The first bottle is a cleaner you add before you drop the pan or exchange the fluid. It loosens the sludge, gum, and oxidation baked onto the valve body and clutch packs while the unit runs, so more of the junk actually comes out with the old fluid instead of staying behind.

The second bottle goes into the fresh fluid. It is a friction modifier and protectant that quiets harsh shifts, cuts operating temperature, and helps the new fluid hold up longer under load and towing. This is the universal formula, so it works with Dexron, Mercon, and most import ATF types.
