Pulls ATF, oil or coolant through the dipstick tube on shop air or by hand, with a 15 liter tank big enough to empty a full-size transmission in one go.
A 15 liter (about 4 gallon) evacuator for pulling fluid out through a dipstick tube or fill hole instead of dropping a pan. It runs on shop air through the venturi head, or you can work the hand pump when you are at the vehicle with no air line. The tank is more than twice the size of the common 6 liter units, which matters on truck transmissions: a 4L80E, Allison 1000 or 68RFE can hold well over 10 quarts total, and a small tank has you stopping halfway to dump it.
On a drain-and-fill, run the 48 inch narrow dipstick tube (it has a wire guide so it tracks down the bend) into the transmission dipstick tube on units like the GM 4L60E and 4L80E or the Ford 4R70W, open the valve, and let it draw the pan down. On sealed units with no dipstick, the 40 inch main suction tube goes in through the fill or check plug with the vehicle level. The volume markings on the tank tell you exactly how much came out, so you know what to put back in.
It also earns its keep before a teardown. Pull a sample and look at it: clutch material suspended in the fluid, metal glitter from a pump or planetary, or a burnt smell tells you where the job is going before you quote it.
The kit includes a 60 inch silicone brake bleeder hose with a bleeder attachment, so the same tank handles one-person brake and clutch hydraulic bleeding. It also takes engine oil, power steering fluid and coolant, and works on motorcycles, boats and small engines.
