OTC 5610 Transmission and Engine Oil Pressure Tester Kit

When a transmission slips, flares between gears, or a customer swears the oil light flickers, guessing gets expensive. This OTC 5610 kit lets you put an actual number on it. It reads line pressure inside an automatic transmission and oil pressure inside an engine, so the same case covers both the driveway diagnosis and the on-the-lift verification after a rebuild.

Two gauges do the work: a low-range 0-100 psi / 0-700 kPa gauge for engine oil pressure and lighter hydraulic checks, and a high-range 0-400 psi / 0-2800 kPa gauge for transmission line pressure, which on most units climbs well past what an engine gauge can read. Both are large 3-1/2 inch faces with chrome bezels, rubber protective boots, and a hook so you can hang the gauge in the windshield and read it while you drive. That road-test capability is the point of this kit. Line pressure that looks fine static will often drop off under load, and this lets you watch it happen at speed.

The kit comes with 13 threaded adapters and a quick-coupler hose assembly to reach the pressure tap ports on most domestic and import applications. The brass fittings handle the elbows, extensions, and thread-size changes at the gauge end, while softer aluminum adapters thread into the vehicle port so you are not chasing a soft port with hardened steel. Everything stores in a blow-molded hard case with a removable lid so the adapters do not scatter across the bench.
