Porsche Macan PDK Transmission Service Kit with 7L ATF

This is the whole fluid-and-filter service for the seven-speed PDK wet dual-clutch gearbox in the 95B-chassis Porsche Macan, 2015 through 2024. Kit part number PDK39070KIT. In the box: seven 1-liter bottles of German-made OE-spec PDK fluid, the internal sump filter, the external canister filter with its seal, the transmission pan gasket, two drain/fill plug seals (22 x 27 x 1.5 mm), fifteen pan bolts (6 x 20 mm), and a manual fluid transfer pump to push the new fluid up into the case. Nothing else to chase down mid-job.

The Macan PDK runs two wet clutch packs and a hydraulic control unit off the same fluid, so fluid condition is not a maintenance footnote on this box - it is what the clutches are actuated and cooled with. Porsche service literature treats it as a long-life fill, and in practice the cars that get serviced at 40-60k miles do not develop the complaints the neglected ones do: a low-speed judder as the clutch takes up from a stop, a hesitation or lurch in stop-and-go traffic, and a clunk on the 1-2 engagement when cold. Burnt fluid also carries clutch material straight through the control valves, which is how a fluid service turns into a mechatronic unit.

The job itself: get the car level, run the trans up to operating temperature and shut it off, pull the drain plug and let the pan drain, then drop the pan and swap the internal filter. The external canister filter is a separate housing on this unit and gets changed at the same time - skipping it leaves half the debris in the system. Fit the new gasket, torque the fifteen new pan bolts in sequence, then fill through the fill port with the transfer pump. Level on a PDK is temperature-dependent, so set it with the trans in the specified fluid-temperature window using a scan tool reading actual trans temp. Expect to put most of the seven liters back in on a pan drop.
