The Powerbuilt 620422E is a 2-ton (4,000 lb) patented Triple Lift floor jack built to do three jobs one jack normally cannot. With the round saddle installed it works as a standard service jack for cars and light trucks; pull the saddle and the flat cradle handles a dropped transmission, transfer case, ATV, motorcycle, lawn mower or snowmobile without a separate transmission jack.
The lift range runs from a low 5-1/2 inches with the saddle removed up to 17-1/2 inches with the round saddle in place, so it slides under low ground-clearance vehicles yet still reaches high enough to set a truck on stands. A wide wheelbase gives it far more side-to-side stability than a typical floor jack, which matters when you are balancing a transmission on the cradle and walking it out from under a car.
A locking safety bar slides into place to hold the jack at the raised height mechanically, so the load is not resting on hydraulic pressure alone while you work. Built-in tie-down loops let you strap an off-balance load, such as a transmission or ATV, to the saddle so it cannot shift. The jack is tested and certified to meet or exceed ASME PALD safety standards.
