A pedestal-style transmission jack rated at 1100 lbs (1/2 ton) for pulling and installing automatic and manual transmissions, transfer cases, and transaxles on cars and light trucks. The two-stage hydraulic ram raises the saddle from 33-1/2 inches up to 67 inches, so it reaches a transmission on a lift or a tall stand and lowers it down to bench height without a helper.
The saddle tilts up to 30 degrees front-to-back on threaded adjustment bolts, which is how you line the input shaft and bellhousing bolt pattern up with the engine while the case is still on the jack. A foot-operated pedal runs the ram so both hands stay on the load, and two safety anchor chains strap the case down so it cannot roll off the tray while you index it into place.
Frame is high-grade steel on a wide base with four swivel casters, so a loaded transmission stays stable and still rolls to the next bay. A center grab ring gives you a spot to push and pull from. This is the jack for a driveway or one-bay shop doing R and R work on 4L60E, 4L80E, 6L80, 68RFE, Allison 1000, ZF and similar units without renting a lift-mounted hoist.
