0AM DSG 7-Speed Transmission Housing Removal Tool Kit

This is the housing separation kit for the 0AM seven-speed dual-clutch, better known as the DQ200 dry-clutch DSG that Volkswagen and Audi have used since 2008 in the Golf, Jetta, Polo, Audi A1 and A3 and the Skoda and Seat equivalents. The 0AM case halves are located on dowels with a thin bead of sealant, and the mechatronic side does not simply lift off. This kit bolts to the housing and walks it off square instead of leaving you to lever on a magnesium sealing face with a pry bar.

Use it on the bench once the unit is out and drained. Bolt the puller plate to the housing bolt pattern, thread in the forcing screw, and turn it down in small increments so both dowels release together. Because the pull is centered, the input shafts stay in line and the case face is not nicked. A gouged sealing surface on a DQ200 is a leak you will chase forever, and once the case is dressed down the sealant bead never sits right again, so this is the difference between a clean teardown and a housing you have to replace.
