Complete BorgWarner friction clutch module for the GM 10L80 ten-speed, part 35955KIT, covering every clutch pack in the unit for a 2017-up rebuild.
This is the full friction clutch module for the GM 10L80 ten-speed automatic, BorgWarner part number 35955KIT. It supplies the friction plates for every clutch pack in the unit in one boxed set, so you are not chasing individual pack part numbers halfway through a teardown. The same module covers the closely related Ford 10R80 and 10R100 and the GM 10L90, since all four are the joint GM/Ford ten-speed sharing the same clutch architecture, 2017 and up.
The 10L80 runs six clutch packs (A, B, C, D, E and F) in a very tight package, and the frictions are what give up first. The classic symptoms are a harsh or flared 2-3 or 4-5 shift, a shudder that shows up under light throttle around 40-50 mph, a slip that sets P0776 or P0716, or the truck falling into limp after a long tow. Once the frictions are cooked, the debris circulates through the valve body and sticks solenoids, which is why a fluid-and-filter service on a slipping 10L80 buys weeks, not years. This module puts new friction material back in all six packs.
On the bench, measure each pack's clearance with the new frictions and the original steels stacked dry before you commit, and set it with the selective plate rather than assuming stock thickness carries over. BorgWarner is the OE-level friction supplier for this transmission, so the coefficient and break-in behavior match what the factory shift calibration was tuned around. Fits 2017-up Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Escalade, Camaro, CT4, CT5 and CT6 with the 10L80 or 10L90, and 2017-up F-150, Mustang, Expedition, Explorer and Ranger with the 10R80 or 10R100.
